Dee Selmore

Dee Selmore is a Theatre and Performance Research PhD student with the Florida State University School of Theatre. Dee received her bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University in Theatre Performance. She received a master’s degree from Florida State University in Theatre (with a focus on Education) and a second master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University. Dee is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Black Theatre Network, Theatre Communications Group, Southeastern Theatre Conference, Mid-America Theatre Conference, and the Florida Association of Theatre Educators. Dee is also a member of the Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). Dee serves as the Florida Theatre Conference College/University Representative Chair and the Actor's Equity Association BIPOC Community Council Co-Chair. She is also the American Stage Company Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council, Programming and Artists Subcommittee Co-Chair. Dee has served as an adjudicator for Florida community colleges and the Florida District 1 Thespians Society Festival. She is a co-founder of the Essential Theatrical Associates (ETA) performance group and the owner of Oluse Performing Arts. Dee has previously directed The Counterfeit by Veronique George for VLG Productions, Yellowman by Dael Orlandersmith as a part of the FAMU Essential Theatre’s Artists in Bloom Festival, and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf by Ntozake Shange for University of Florida Women’s Studies Department.

Tiffany Underwood

Tiffany Underwood is a Tallahassee native.  She is a passionate artist with a rich and diverse background. She holds an AA degree in Theater from Tallahassee Community College (now Tallahassee State University), a Certificate in Acting from KD Conservatory in Dallas, TX., as well as an AS degree in Legal Studies also from Tallahassee Community College (now Tallahassee State University), and a BS degree in Criminology from Florida State University. Before dedicating herself fully to the arts, Tiffany worked in the legal and medical fields, gaining valuable experience that has informed her creative work.  She is an accomplished actress whose career began at an acting summer camp, where she first discovered her passion for performance. She further refined her craft at the K D Conservatory in Dallas, TX, before making her stage debut in her hometown. Tiffany quickly earned recognition for her powerful performances, receiving two Best Supporting Actress nominations for her roles in Calendar Girls and August: Osage County. Her breakthrough came with her title role as Viola in the short film Viola, which garnered critical acclaim and solidified her talent. Tiffany’s career continued to evolve as she took on a diverse range of dramatic roles, including portraying a mother who loses both of her sons in Somebody to Love—a performance that earned her a nomination for Best Female Role. She also showcased her versatility in Queer BNB, where she played a mother who creatively repurposes her daughter’s empty room after she leaves for college. Tiffany’s outstanding performances have earned her recognition, including a Best Reel award for her acting work. With her work gaining wider visibility, Tiffany is now focused on securing her breakthrough role, continuing to push boundaries with each new project. Known for taking on complex characters that challenge both her and her audience, Tiffany Underwood remains committed to evolving as an actor and leaving a lasting impact on the industry.  Even with her work in the film industry, she is a strong advocate for community theater and making theater accessible to everyone.  Tiffany is a proud mother of one, with her daughter also pursuing a career in theater. In addition to her artistic endeavors, Tiffany enjoys traveling, cooking, watching films, and reading, She shares her home with her husband and two cats, who are always by her side.  

David Baucum

David is a native of Tallahassee. David has been an active participant in community theater since 2019, taking on various roles such as actor, stage manager, spotlight operator, director, and more. His notable performances include Charlie in On Golden Pond, Patrick Martin in Little Shop of Horrors, Sheriff Joe in A Town Divided, and Mr. Dussel inDiary of Anne Frank. He has also directed Hedwig and the Angry Inch. David joined the IRT board in 2024.

Jessica Katz

Jessica Katz is an actor and construction accountant with a Bachelor in Business Management. Jessica previously served as Board Member for Brightside Events, a non-profit providing meals to local needy students over school breaks to fill the gap from the free lunch program. She has worked locally on stage for Irish Repertory Theater, Monticello Opera House, Palaver Tree Theater, and Tallahassee Hispanic Theater. Jessica is also a film, commercial, and voice-over actor. When she is not on stage or in front of the camera, you will find her having adventures across the globe. One of her recent accomplishments is summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Volker Crede

Volker Crede was born in Germany and moved to Tallahassee in 2004. He has a PhD in physics and is a member of the physics faculty at Florida State University as an active researcher in nuclear physics. Volker is also a member of the Tallahassee Irish Step Dancers (TISD), the oldest Irish Step Dance company in Tallahassee. TISD is regionally known for performing both traditional Irish set dances and original Irish choreography. A TISD tradition is the annual performance of the Snow Queen. Volker has been on the cast for more than a decade and danced in several roles. He joined the IRT board in 2024.

Jim McMurtry

Jim McMurtry is a retired letter carrier who has been active in theatre for most his life, including 40+ years in Tallahassee. Primarily an actor, Jim has performed in most venues and with most companies in Tallahassee. Administratively, he has been a member of the Boards of Tallahassee Little Theater, Off-Street Players and the Irish Repertory Theater of Tallahassee serving as President of TLT and IRT.  His self-attributed strengths lean toward production with a commitment to supporting local live theatre in any way he can.

Rebecca Curran

Rebecca Curran is a PhD Candidate at Florida State in the School of Theatre. Her dissertation focuses on the political context of Irish ghost stories and folklore. Past research and conference presentations have focused on the Troubles, violence and humor in Irish/Northern Irish plays, and Sean O'Casey's Dublin Trilogy. She directed Brian Friel's The Freedom of the City with the Irish Repertory Theatre in 2022.

Robyn Smith Peters

Robyn Smith Peters has been active in the Tallahassee Theater Community for many years and has performed all over North Florida. She studied Musical Theater at Lipscomb University and has been working in Educational Theater for 11 years. She currently owns Stage11, a youth and young adult Theatre Company here in Tallahassee, and has Directed many Productions in the area including Into the Woods (QMT), The Addams Family (FSUS), Tuck Everlasting (Stage11), and Cats (QMT). She has also been a choreographer for many years, some credits include: Into the Woods (QMT), Shrek the Musical (Stage11), and Putnam County Spelling Bee (Stage11). When she isn’t behind the scenes she loves performing and has most recently been seen in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosabud) and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder (Sibella) both at Theatre Tallahassee.
